We welcome riders of all ages and abilities here at Sandlin, whether you want to ride English or Western we can help.

By carefully explaining a logical means of communication with the horse, Bruce helps every rider to improve themselves and their confidence, whatever their level of riding. Using simple breathing techniques and showing how the horse mirrors the rider, clients find a new awareness of how to influence the horse beneath them.

Bruce is also an experienced eventer, competing in British Eventing competitions and also winning at the British Riding Club National Championships and qualifying the same horse for the dressage and hunter trials section of the championships three years running. As a result, he is equally at home training English riders.

We offer numerous training packages at Sandlin. You can have lessons on one of our well trained schoolmaster horses, bring your own horse for a one-to-one lesson with Bruce or join one of the small group lessons held three times each week.

Our regular mid-week Intensive Rider Courses are very popular. These offer the opportunity to work with Bruce in a very small group of just two or three people on either your own horse, one of ours, or a combination of the two. Lessons will be given in the morning and afternoon over three days and whilst you relax in between times you can watch Bruce train his horses or watch a training dvd. The price of this varies depending on your choice of lessons.

New for this year is the Sandlin Western Day. This is a one-day course which can be tailored to your requirements and experience. Ride one of our well-trained horses on a lesson in the morning before relaxing over a pub lunch followed by another lesson in the afternoon. There will also be chance to watch Bruce demonstrate his successful training techniques and skill on horseback. It is a great introduction to western riding for those new to the sport and it is also a good opportunity for a more advanced rider to brush up on skills. Places are limited to allow lots of individual attention. How about coming with a friend and enjoying a fun and informative day?

Why not treat someone to a Sandlin Western Day or a top class riding lesson. Our gift vouchers make a great present.

For the health and safety of our horses, we have a weight limit of 14 stone for riders.
